Track Name: Rewind
I want back
You gave back
I got back
Back all my time
I lost when I left and got stuck down the hall without light

It's not bad
To reach out
ask for help
and hit rewind
existing is living in halls now it's time to not hide
Track Name: I Can't Hide
shut the door then there's no one else
I'm so unfair to myself
once you're gone the question remains lately
but I still don't know a thing

13 months in half a city
7 people know my name
except for takeout cashiers and my neighbors
by now I shouldn't be afraid

I can't hide
anymore

after work get quiet quickly
on the outside but not in
there's plenty more to do but the TV's on
and the air conditioning is thin

I can't hide
anymore

I don't hear stories, I just read them
would we live more?
would there be a single change?
are you chillin down or cruisin?
I'm still ascending a few more years
and would it be better now if I knew I'd see you in a little while
Track Name: Sports Radio / Lime Juice
sick kid, asbestos in the walls
sick kid, in the distance down the hall
left side, strong side
thought I'd be the one screwing up the time
not the other way, not the other way

sports radio
on the way to lunch
do you keep up with basketball, or is it not enough?
are you on your coast now, are you getting back?
when you draw states and household items it drives me mad

your side, my side
nothing inbetween but a straight line
it's the interstate, drive another way
there's no other way, find another way
well it's not too late, no it's not too late
it's not too late

//

I didn't hide on purpose, just didn't know a soul
and was ill-equipped to build a life alone
I spent every living moment thinking "how did I get out alive?"
but the people around me didn't understand why

ba ba ba ba ba
ba ba baaaaaa

I wann know your secret
how did you escape the world?
sit at your desk and learn to hit record?
if anything I am impressed, I couldn't make it that permanent
it was hard enough just to find the time

ba ba ba ba ba
ba ba baaaaaa

I wanna get out, but it's not gonna be without
nearly splittin brain
some things don't change

hey wild eyes
please don't die
Track Name: Shot Block
I don't feel until it's shown
who you are and what we know

there's a block inside my brain
nothing wrong, they say the same
it just drives a different way in the same frame

I don't know when it will be
sometimes it's there and then it leaves

but when I saw you on the corner
I knew I'd be there a little longer
then we both looked down the hall through the same frame

I'm gonna miss you when it's over
when you're around it don't feel wrong
there's a block inside my brain
nothing wrong, they say the same
it just drives a different way in the same frame
Track Name: Kickflip
used to always be so nervous
stuttering but not on purpose
trippin on my shoelaces
not landing any skateboard tricks
hiding from the sunset with popcorn and TV

now things are fine, not nervous all the time
I never wanna die
I never wanna die

every garden needs its flowers
quit mortgaging your Cromwell powers
return to where you found it when the light was all around it
in the teal house on the corner, now yall come visit me

things are fine, not nervous all the time
I never wanna die
I never wanna die

get back, back on the board
keep workin till you land that trick like no one ever has before
Track Name: Moss
never quite felt the way I thought I should
never quite went the way I thought it would
I don't wanna love just to say "I told you so"
and not be alone

so like LeBron I left cause there was no supporting cast
no one to share the wins
you're the only person that I've told
you're the only one who cared to know

now I'm gettin back
you're the quarterback

they cut it right out of me the ugly stem and feet of not wanting to be
Track Name: Illustrations
I've seen your illustrations
we draw the same things but you're good
you went to school formation
I went to school for writing good

we finally agreed when you were there
it didn't last long, like a lightning shadow on the bathroom floor
nearly missed but it's not serious
just an honest attempt
at making long distance friends

is this real?
where you here?
is this real?
am I here?

that first time
I was embarrassed of your friends
I'd never sought the comfort of a group
missed the first shot at my youth
can we buy it back?
release the hidden tracks?
looked to the back and the booth, the intuition wasn't true
it would take another night or 2

is this real?
where you here?
is this real?
am I here?
Track Name: Mellow Yellow
kicked out on a tuesday night
gettin kinda nervous, watch the category rise
don't wanna wake to a flattened life
tell the neighbors "get out, this ain't one to fight"

Jacob's got a job up the road at 5
he'll meet us in Mooresville, hunker down and try
don't turn away Weather Channel live from downtown
they're drinking Mellow Yellow in the Waffle House

hope that they're alright
dodging branches and streetlights
new stations from all around
as the rain becomes the ground

Tony's stuck outta town the other side
of the country for work, gonna catch a flight
into Charlotte, drive down, pick him up at 3
then tell each other stories that we can't believe

100 year trees down in my neighborhood
roof falling in the 5 star Yelp restaurant
storm's passed by, time to drive back down
not sure if our homes are still around

there's no way back in
roads are flooding, disappearing
8 hours through tobacco fields
that won't grow back for some years

we'll be alright
get back alright
in time alright
Track Name: Everyone Is Here
will I wanna be alone?
when I'm 28 or know
I was not faking
just was misdirected

you asked me on a date
I biked there later than I'm usually awake
you wanted to touch me
I couldn't explain what I didn't need

I'm so glad to be alive
Friendsgiving and 4th of July
are no longer haunted
they count for something
cause everyone is here
Track Name: Profit
hung paper ghosts around the room and never took them down
carved pumpkins on the porch that rotted quick and grew a frown
but it was a good investment and we turned the profit back on itself
more than consumers, things we make teach us how to reach out

we're never gonna die
and I'm not nervous all the time
never gonna die
round here it's always Burger Time

scar tissue on my face reminds me of how it went right
can't feel until it's shown who you are and what we both know
don't know when it will be
sometimes it's there and then it leaves
I'll miss you when you're gone
when you're around it don't feel wrong

there's a block inside my brain
ain't nothing wrong they say the same
it drives a different way but nothing's wrong you know my name
we're never gonna die
and I'm not nervous all the time
never gonna die
round here it's always Burger Time
Track Name: Down the Hall
power tripping, I wanted to be still
sent me spinning, filled up the room with doubt
sent me spinning, and every thought was felt
then you went missing, showed my dreams to yourself

I won't be the one who knows you
the information packet came true
searching for the keys to the room
holding hands, your ceiling's see-through

don't wanna take it off, just want it turned off
don't wanna take it off

//

my back is always tight
you're always wrapped in jackets
custom and stained, no need to take them off unless you like it
the curtain on the stage is rolling back for something
I won't be there, it's alright
wishing don't count for nothing

placed on hold
I'll keep the lights on
down the hall
I'll keep the lights on
please don't roam down the hall

placed on hold
I'll keep the lights on
accident prone
I'll keep the lights on
please don't roam down the hall
